We support students and employees of the University of Mainz who have children or care for relatives.
Our goal is to effectively combine studies, work, and family.

Counseling for Students and Employees

We provide advice on the following topics:

• How can you effectively balance studies or work and family?
• What support is available for expectant parents?
• What should be considered when caring for relatives?

You can reach us by phone, email, or in person during our open consultation hours.
Our open consultation hours are Tuesdays from 2 PM to 4 PM.
For consultations at other times, please schedule an appointment with us.

Holiday Childcare

During school holidays, we offer holiday programs for elementary school children.
The programs are conducted in Mainz and Germersheim.
Students can register their children for free.
There are costs for employees.
Registration for Mainz is done via email to ferienprogramm-frankfurt@familienservice.de
For registration in Germersheim, there is a form.
Please register your child at least four weeks before the start of the holiday program.

Support for Students with Children

Studying with children is challenging.
We offer support in balancing studies and family.
This includes:

• Information on financial and legal entitlements during pregnancy and childcare while studying.
• Overview of childcare options.
• Advice and support in planning studies with children.
