Those in need of care and their relatives have been waiting for this for a long time, and now the new definition of care dependency is finally in effect. Since January 2017, the central regulations of the Second Care Strengthening Act have been in force. The numerous legal changes within the framework of the care reform raise many questions: How will the allocation to the new care grades be made in the future? How does the Medical Service of the Health Insurance assess care dependency? What benefits are available in the various care grades? What transitional regulations apply to people with existing care levels? These and other questions about long-term care insurance will be answered by Gisela Rohmann from the Consumer Advice Center Rhineland-Palatinate in her presentation.

The speaker will provide information about the new definition of care dependency, the new assessment procedure for determining care dependency, and the transition from care levels to care grades. She will also present an overview of the benefits provided by long-term care insurance.
