Life as caregiving parents initially means, above all, arriving at a different life with a child than planned. It often requires coping with this new situation with all its possible phases such as shock, grief, fear, depressive moods, exhaustion, acceptance, experience in the here and now, opening up to a different but also good life concept, building a network, etc.
As individual as this situation is for each parent and family, it is often more or less challenging for everyday life as a couple and family. Often, self-care falls short; there are few or no breaks or opportunities to recharge energy.
The aim of the course is to strengthen resilience, helpful tools, and the mental health of parents of children with care needs.
In addition to input and exchange, the two-part course also includes practical exercises. Please note that the event will be held in German.
