From 1995 to 2000, Katia Saalfrank studied Educational Sciences at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. She had her first son between her oral and written Abitur exams. The dedicated graduate educator then had her other three children while still studying. After gaining professional experience in family counseling as an educator and music therapist, and working in a pediatric intensive care unit, she then made the leap into television.

Katia Saalfrank works in her own practice as a consultant and supervisor; she is a lecturer and author. She is also on tour with her evening program “No Mama!” In this conversation, Katia Saalfrank shares how she managed two courses of study despite multiple responsibilities and how she balances children and career today.
