A care situation can arise quickly and unexpectedly. What will I face if, for example, parents get older and need help or care? Who can I turn to, who offers support? The workshop provides an overview of existing benefits and support options, the rights and entitlements of family caregivers, and how home care can be organized. The question of balancing care responsibilities with work or studies also poses a major challenge for many caregivers. In addition to information on legal frameworks and options for financing care, and an overview of various support services for family caregivers, time and space are provided to address personal questions from participants.
The event is aimed at all students, doctoral candidates, and employees of JGU who care for or nurse relatives, as well as those who want to prepare for this situation.
