The Studierendenwerk Mainz offers two full-day daycare centers, Kitas Campulino and Spr\u00f6sslinge, for children of students at JGU, Mainz University of Applied Sciences, as well as children of employees of MPI, IMB, and the Studierendenwerk Mainz.<\/p>\n\n

The full-day daycare center Kita Campulino<\/a><\/strong> can accommodate 82 children from a few months old, while the Montessori Daycare Center Spr\u00f6sslinge<\/strong><\/a> can care for 100 children from twelve months old. Opening hours<\/strong>: Mon-Thurs 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Fri 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM<\/p>\n\n

Registration for the cr\u00e8che and daycare is done through the Studierendenwerk Mainz. You can submit the application by email. In addition to the application form, the Studierendenwerk also requires your current enrollment certificate and proof of your previous course progress<\/strong> (for university students) or the employer certificate filled out by your HR department<\/strong> (for employees of MPI, IMB, Studierendenwerk). For Kita Spr\u00f6sslinge<\/strong>, in order for your application to be considered, you must have attended one of the information events for parents before the admissions process<\/strong>.<\/strong> You can find the dates on the daycare center’s homepage.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n

The places are allocated centrally by an admission committee responsible for the Studierendenwerk daycare centers. Families must have their primary residence registered in Mainz; children from surrounding communities or from Hesse can unfortunately no longer be accepted. <\/p>\n\n

Childcare in Transitional Periods<\/strong><\/p>\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-image>\n

In transitional care, children aged eight weeks to twelve years are looked after by educational specialists at the back-up facility 3 K – Kinder, Kunst Kultur<\/em> run by pme familienservice GmbH<\/a>. Transitional care is intended as a supplementary childcare option to enable you to return to the university after your parental leave if you have not yet found long-term regular childcare (daycare place, childminder, BHE). At the same time, this service also offers all international guests of JGU the chance to get a childcare place, even if they are only visiting JGU for one or two semesters and therefore usually do not receive a place in a municipal facility or with a childminder. <\/p>\n\n

If you receive a place confirmation for your child, you will be granted the use of childcare in transitional periods for six months<\/strong>. During this time, you can use the care up to three days per week<\/strong> all day and with full board. You arrange the care days individually with the facility, whereby you must always commit to at least four weeks. As with daycare centers and childminders, there is an adjustment period at the beginning of the contract period. <\/p>\n\n

Students and doctoral candidates of JGU pay a monthly flat rate as their own contribution<\/strong>. This amounts to a weekly supervision of <\/p>\n\n
